Diablo 4 Season 8 Mythic Uniques Tier: Which Ones Should You Use?
Mythic Uniques are the most powerful unique items in Diablo 4. Each Mythic Unique has a description of its personality and lore. Mythic Uniques Items are items that can change the way you play the game. They can almost redefine your build.
But is this true? Not entirely. There are currently 12 Mythic Uniques Items in the game, and only some of them are very powerful items. So when you get a Mythic Unique Item in the next season, it’s best to see if it is useful for your build before deciding whether to equip it.
How To Get Mythic Uniques?
Mythic Uniques Items always drop as Ancestral 800 Items, which means they will have at least one higher affix. Mythic Uniques can be increased in power at a Blacksmith, but cannot be Tempered.
1. Monster Drops
Mythic Uniques only drop from Torment Difficulty monsters, and higher Torment Tier, the higher the chance of a monster dropping Mythic Uniques Items. But in general, it is still a bit unreliable to get Mythic Uniques Items by farming Monsters. Torment Difficulty monsters may drop unique items and gold, but the chance of dropping Mythic Uniques Items is too low.
2. Boss
The theme of Season 8 is Boss Powers. In order to raise the rank of Boss Powers to the highest level, players will have to farm Bosses. Torment difficulty bosses have a much higher chance of dropping Mythic Uniques Items than normal monsters.
3. Resplendent Spark
It takes 4 Resplendent Sparks to craft a Mythic Uniques Item, and it is also possible to craft a Mythic Unique Cache with 2 Resplendent Sparks and 50,000,000 Gold.
Only 1 Resplendent Spark is obtained from disenchanting a Mythic Uniques Item. 1 Resplendent Spark is obtained from defeating Echo of Lilith and any Tormented Boss for the first time, and 2 each season. Certain Mythic Uniques can be exchanged for 2 Resplendent Sparks runes and 5,000 Diablo 4 Gold at Jeweler.
Mythic Uniques Item Tier
Tier 4
- Shattered Vow: You can execute enemies that have sustained damage greater than their remaining health.
- Nesekem, the Herald: Marks an enemy every 2 seconds for your next [1 - 10] attacks. Marked enemies become vulnerable, and your attacks against them are guaranteed to deal critical hits and suppress.
- Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander: After killing an elite enemy, gain a random Shrine effect that lasts for 20 seconds. This effect can only be triggered once every 30 seconds.
Tier 4 Mythic Uniques Items represent items that are flawed in their design and will not work or even hinder a build. For example, the unique effects of Shattered Vow are difficult to trigger in combat.
If you are unlucky enough to get one of these, disenchant them into a Resplendent Spark or exchange them for gold.
Tier 3
- Melted Heart of Selig: When the equipped character takes damage, each 1% of maximum health lost is converted into 2 resources.
- Andariel’s Visage: Lucky Hit has a 20% chance to trigger Poison Nova, dealing 4,500 poison damage to enemies in the area over 5 seconds.
- Tyrael’s Might: At full health, your skill unleashes a holy barrage that deals 195 damage.
Tier 3 Mythic Uniques Items are items that have some use value. They are useful for a few builds, but they are still replaceable. For example, Tyrael’s Might can only be triggered when the health is full, and the damage is not high. It is suitable for Sorcerer class or builds with strong health regeneration, but as a body armor, it can only be used as a transition.
Tier 2
- The Grandfather: Your Critical Strike damage is increased by 100% [x], and the other attributes of this weapon can be higher than normal.
- Doombringer: Your Lucky Hit has a 25% chance to deal up to 900 Shadow damage to nearby enemies, and reduce the damage they deal by 20% for 5 seconds.
Tier 2 Mythic Uniques Items are items that can be very powerful in some builds, but they are not widely used. They are used to pursuing extremes. You can use them in some Overpower Builds or in Hardcore mode.
Tier 1
- Ring of Starless Skies: Consuming a Primary Resource reduces the resource cost of the equipped character’s skills and increases their damage by 3 seconds.
- Harlequin Crest: Equipped character gains 20% damage reduction. And all skill levels +4.
- Heir of Perdition: Gain Lilith’s Favor, increasing your damage by 60% [x]. When Slaughtering a monster, you can briefly steal Lilith’s Favor from nearby allies.
- Shroud of False Death: Gain 40% [+] movement speed and Stealth effect if you haven’t attacked in the past 2 seconds.
Tier 1 Mythic Uniques Items are the strongest and are considered must-have items in many builds. Many top-level builds require these Mythic Uniques Items.
It is not yet known whether Season 8 will add new Mythic Uniques Items. Mythic Uniques Items mentioned above are all Uniques Items currently in the game. Except for Tier 1 items, other unique items are relatively not too powerful unless they are useful for your Build.

The arrival of Diablo 4 Season 7 introduces a brand new currency, Fugitive Heads. So if you play at any difficulty below Torment, you will hardly get any Fugitive Heads. And since the chance of getting Fugitive Heads increases with Torment Difficulty Tier. So ideally, if you want to maximize your farming efficiency, you should farm in Torment IV, if your character is capable of doing so. So, if you want to get more Heads in a short period of time, don’t be stingy about investing Diablo 4 Gold in your build to better optimize the build effect. Farming Headhunts By far, the best source of Fugitive Heads is Headhunts. These Headhunts are the new seasonal areas in Diablo 4, and all you have to do is go there and start doing Whispers, any Whisper objectives will do. This is because when you complete any Whisper objective in the new Headhunts area, Exposed Roots will spawn around. You should click on these Exposed Roots, and then a bunch of random things will happen. Of course, the most anticipated result is that after clicking on Exposed Roots, a boss will be summoned, so you have a better chance of getting a Fugitive Head drop. So you should run around in Headhunts and click on all Exposed Roots you find. If you are lucky, then clicking a few times will summon a boss. You know the boss has been summoned when you get a ping on your mini-map, but other people will get this prompt too. So if someone else clicks on Exposed Roots and then summons a boss, your map will also ping, and you should go there. So once your map pings, you know the boss will eventually spawn at this location. Now, this boss could be a Headless Husk. Unfortunately, you won’t drop a Fugitive Head when you kill it, but the boss itself has a random chance of spawning a Fugitive Head. The chance of a Fugitive Head spawning increases with each Difficulty Tier, and also with your Draught of Whispers applied. This is why you have to play on the highest difficulty, and ideally with Draught of Whispers buff. For example, if you play on the highest difficulty, Torment IV, and have Draught of Whispers buff applied, there is a 15% chance of a Fugitive Head spawning instead of a Headless Husk. The chance of this happening is less on lower difficulties, though, and this only applies to Torment Difficulty. Running Rootholds Dungeon Aside from that, Fugitive Heads can also be obtained from Rootholds Dungeon. Rootholds are mini-dungeons in Diablo 4 Season 7 that operate similarly to Nightmare Dungeons. To get into it, you need to prepare some Whispering Wood Sigils. These Sigils come from Whisper Caches, so when you farm Fugitive Heads in Headhunts, you can also get these Whispering Wood Sigils in your inventory by completing Whispers. When you enter Rootholds, you will go through a dungeon, and at the end of the dungeon you will meet a boss. This boss has a chance to be a Headless Husk and also has a chance to be a Fugitive Head. Unfortunately, the chance of them being Fugitive Heads is not very high. I think this way of collecting Fugitive Heads is not better than Headhunts. As someone who hates Whisper farming, I started wondering if I could rank the different Whisper Caches from most to least gold. That way, I would always know which one I should pick to get the most gold possible. So I did a brief experiment and decided to share it with you all. Here, we’ll talk about how to actually run this method and disclaimers, test results, and my recommendations based on the results. So let’s get started. Farming Methods Tree of Whispers is shown as a red tree icon with a skull on the top of the east side of the map. Hovering over the icon will show a progress bar showing the player how many Grim Favors they have completed and how many more they need to complete getting the reward. Grim Favors are awarded when Whispers are completed. Whispers are small side activities made on the map with red or light red icons. Whispers are always cycling, and new Whispers will randomly appear on the map to replace existing or completed Whispers. We can also obtain Grim Favors by clearing Diablo 4 dungeons with red icons on the map, which usually provide more Grim Favors than any Whispers quest. It is important to note that after obtaining ten Grim Favors, the player cannot complete any additional Whispers until they return to Tree of Whispers. Whispers will still spawn during Helltide events and provide players with more rewards than usual. Upon returning to the tree, the player can choose from three reward caches, each of which focuses on a different weapon type, armor, or Collection of Chaos. Selecting a clearly labeled collection will give the player multiple high-end gear of that type, as well as various additional rewards. Additionally, Collection of Chaos still provides high-end rewards and randomly provides any type of item or gear. In summary, I farmed 2 or 3 regular Caches from the tree with a level 100 character. I also farmed 4 Greater Caches and treated them as a group. I calculated the average of the gold contained in each cache and ranked them. Again, Greater Caches are not separated, they are treated as one group. Disclaimer Secondly, I would like to offer the following disclaimer. I know that the sample size is too small to allow you to draw statistically significant conclusions between the groups, and I am pretty sure someone on Reddit has already done a similar check with a much larger sample size. No need to remind me of these facts, I know them, but I still wanted to test these numbers myself. Conclusion So, let’s get straight to the results. As expected, Greater Caches have the highest average gold content, with about 6.6 million gold per cache. Collection of Chaos is next, with an average gold content of 6 million. Then, lagging far behind, are the other non-Greater Caches, with average gold content between 2.8-3.3 million. It is likely that there is no actual difference between these caches in terms of gold content. But if we look at Greater Caches in detail, we can see that there is much more deviation here, and even some Greater Caches have gold content as high as 11 million. However, I must emphasize that the sample size here is small. Personal Recommendations So, based on this data, what kind of recommendations can I make for all your gold farmers? First, the obvious one is that if you can choose between Greater Caches and non-Greater Caches, choose Greater Caches without hesitation. Second, if Greater Caches are not offered, always choose Normal Chaos Cache. If that is not offered either, it doesn’t matter which Normal non-Chaos Cache you choose. Besides these recommendations, I have a few weaker recommendations. However, these recommendations are based on the fact that of the four Greater Caches I opened, I had a Greater Collection of Chaos, which dropped significantly more gold than the other Greater Caches. Based on this, I recommend that if someone offers you multiple Greater Caches, always choose Greater Cache of Chaos. I’m guessing that there may also be differences between other non-Greater Caches, but the low sample size prevents me from drawing any conclusions. However, I believe that further research in this area can make progress in the future. Furthermore, I suspect that choosing a non-Greater Chaos Cache might actually be better than choosing a Greater non-Chaos Cache, but that’s just a crazy thought. That’s it!
